CETA Work Permits

The Canada-European Union Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) is a multilateral trade agreement negotiated between Canada and the European Union (EU). The agreement entered into force on September 21, 2017. CETA offers EU citizens unique opportunities to work in Canada. Foreigners subject to the provisions of CETA may be eligible to work in Canada without the need for a Labor Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) or even a work permit.
